Well, that’s sort of not true. It was fun, just not thrillingly so as it has been recently. We went to the beach in the above picture, tried to hike to a new one, turned around when it got too steep, and hung out on the original beach with Nancy (Professor Calleo’s administrative assistant for twenty years). Well, I should mention that only Caitlin and I turned around. At least we got some exercise, and Nancy is fun. She can gossip for hours, as it turns out.
Also, Giacomo just left for Ravenna, so I think a dark cloud has descended upon our little estate. We’re all sad to see him go. He was our fearless leader, and everything was so fun when he was around.
Luckily for me, Caitlin is still here for the next couple of days. The Stupid Boys didn’t want to go to the beach today and this girl doesn’t know how to drive a standard transmission car so we’re stuck on the estate. Guess I have time to get a head start on some bolognese sauce. Grr.
I don’t have much else to say, I’m sorry to be boring. I’ve been looking at job postings on Craigslist all morning trying to figure out how I’m going to pay my bills while I’m at grad school, so I’m a little frazzled.
The beach would have helped. Maybe I’ll drink tea instead and watch Parks and Recreation until my internet connection craps out.
BTW, all you Ithaca folk; I hope you’re having fun at Grassroots!
